ÅRE- SWEDEN’S ALPINE VILLAGE
A few stars are born throughout the winters in Åre. And this is pretty easy when skiing runs that give your stomach a thrill, while offering a safe place for beginners. The skiing in Åre is of a high international standard and is strongly considered to offer the best development opportunities for people who take their skiing seriously.
Besides downhill skiing, there is an abundance of other activities in Åre – paragliding, dogsledding, horseback riding, and cross-country skiing to an adventure pool, just to name a few.
As well, Åre boasts the mountains best shopping, an extensive and high-class offering of restaurants, the most fun après-ski and entertainment that goes all night.
Åre’s three areas
Åre is comprised of three destinations: Åre Björnen, Åre Village and Duved. Åre Björnen, located farthest east, is the children’s favourite and is even called the Kid’s Björnen. There is skiing here for the whole family.
Three lifts away lies the more advanced skiing of Mount Åreskutan, with its numerous slopes and varied terrain. Here, fantastic skiing is directly linked to a village with a wonderful atmosphere and great traditions, along with a large offering of high-class restaurants, entertainment and adrenaline-filled activities.
To the west of Åre Village lies Duved, with its more relaxed tempo and skiing to suit all tastes. Some of Åre’s best ski areas are here. Hardly any hills are as perfect for carving.
