Göteborg Landvetter Airport was inaugurated on October 3, 1977 and is Sweden’s second largest airport. Construction of Göteborg Landvetter, which replaced Torslanda Airport, began in 1972 with the removal of forest and the draining of Lake Kroksjön. Three years later, construction of the airport buildings began. The final cost of the airport was SEK 630 million.
Over the past three decades, the airport has carried out several renovations and extensions. We work proactively with maintenance and new investments. Among other things, we recently invested in a new parking structure, a new cargo terminal that doubles previous capacity and a renovation of the arrival hall and our commercial space.
