So far this year 1,304,000 passengers have travelled to and from the Airport. This is an increase of 2% compared with the same period last year. Air cargo transports have also increased by 17% during the first quarter of 2007.
Last year the airport beat its own passenger record numbers reaching a total of 4.3 million in 2006 and 2007 has not begun badly, the opposite in fact. In January the number of people travelling to and from Göteborg-Landvetter Airport increased by 6%.
The low fares airline, Sterling has returned to Gothenburg. Next year the airline will begin services to Malaga, Alicante, Nice and Florence. The latter is a completely new route for Göteborg-Landvetter Airport.
