This autumn, travellers to London will have even more options when British Airways starts up service once again from Göteborg Landvetter Airport. British Airways, the UK’s largest airline, will have two daily departures to London Heathrow. |

“That means that Göteborg Landvetter will have a really wide range of air travel options to London, with a good spread among London’s major airports,” says Brett Weihart, Deputy Managing Director at Göteborg Landvetter Airport.
On Sunday, November 28, British Airways will start to offer two daily flights from Göteborg Landvetter to London Heathrow with departures at 11.20 a.m. and 6.55 p.m. SAS already flies to London Heathrow, and on September 6 easyJet will start a new route to London Gatwick.
“It is really great that British Airways is now returning to Göteborg Landvetter after nine years. It is one of Europe’s largest airlines by far, with an intercontinental hub in London that allows people to fly to all corners of the world,” says Mr Weihart.
British Airways has seen greater demand for service from Gothenburg (Göteborg) to London from both business and leisure travellers.
“Every new non-stop route to Gothenburg is good for regional growth,” says Leif Nilsson, CEO of Göteborg och Co, which markets Gothenburg as a destination. “Then we are accessible to more people, and for many we are a new destination to discover. The starting date, November 28, is perfect for Christmas in Gothenburg with its market and festivities.”
British Airways will operate aircraft from the Airbus family on the route, with both economy and business class service.
