Ask for a TaxFree Cheque in the shop where you make a purchase and save up to 17.5% of Swedish VAT on items purchased. Note that this does not apply to people residing in Norway or for purchases of food, perfume and cosmetics, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.

How this is done:
When you make a purchase, the shop sales staff fills out a Global Blue TaxFree Cheque and your goods are given special stickers.

On departure from Sweden, but prior to check-in, you go to Forex Bank for goods inspection, which is located in Göteborg Landvetter Airport’s check-in hall. You show your goods there, and your TaxFree Cheque is stamped. You also cash in your TaxFree Cheque here.
