According to regulations in effect throughout the EU, a change in procedures is being introduced for departing passengers at all airports. This means that people travelling must now show a valid boarding card before they pass the security checkpoints.
Your boarding card can be printed:
- at the check-in counter
- from a check in machine
- off the Internet
Or is available:
- on your mobile phone
- on your credit/debit card
- on a card from your airline
The boarding card check, which verifies name, departure date and airport of departure, is primarily done automatically by a reader but can also be done manually.
