Malmö Airport opened in December 1972. During 2009 more than 1.5 million air passengers travelled to and from the airport. In and around the airport, 1,400 people work at 56 companies. Malmö Airport collaborates with a number of regional organisations to strengthen Skåne and Sweden as destinations.
