  • Marked increase in February

    [2010-03-09] 
    During February the total number of passengers at LFV airports increased by 5% compared with the same month in 2009. International passenger numbers were up 3% and domestic 7%.
  • Continued slow recovery

    During January 2010 the total number of passengers at LFV Airports was 1.9 million which is a small increase compared with the same month last year. International numbers increased by one percent to 1.1 million passengers whilst domestic remained the same as last year at 0.8 million.

    The total number of passengers at LFV Airports during 2009 was 27.1 million, which is a 10% decrease compared with 2008. International passenger numbers were down by 10% to 15.8 million while domestic decreased by 11% to 11.3 million passengers.

    The total number of passenger at LFV Airports during the month of November was 2.3 million, which is a small increase compared with the same month in 2008. Domestic increased by two percent to 1.1 million while international decreased by one percent to 1.2 million passengers.

    LFV´s revenue for the first nine months of the year was MSEK 151, which is a drastic deterioration compared with the same period last year which saw revenues of MSEK 516. Passenger numbers dropped by 13%.

    Arlanda Energi, a unit of LFV, has been awarded the 2009 Swedish Energy Prize for its business model, which takes an integrated approach to the airport’s energy issues.
  • LFV’s traffic statistics – down 9% in October

    The total number of passengers using LFV airports was 2.5 million during October. This is a decrease of 9% compared with the same month the previous year. International passenger numbers were down 8% to 1.4 million passengers and domestic 9 % to 1.1 million.

    The number of passengers at LFV Airports decreased by 11% during September compared with the same month 2008. International numbers were down 12% and domestic 9%.
  • Lars Håkansson, new CEO of Swedavia AB, will succeed Sture Ericsson

    [2009-09-15] 

    New CEO of Swedavia AB is Lars Håkansson who will succeed Sture Ericsson on October 1 2009.  Lars Håkansson is currently working as project manager at Swedavia AB, where he is responsible for specifying a new ATM-system in Thailand. Lars has extensive international experience from a large numbers of international consultant projects performed by Swedavia.

  • Reduced earnings for LFV due to drop in travel

    [2009-09-10] 
    LFV’s result for the first half of 2009 was SEK M 40 which is a massive deterioration compared with the first 6 months of 2008 when the Group’s profit was SEK  M 308. Passenger numbers were down 14%.
