LFV´s revenue for the first nine months of the year was MSEK 151, which is a drastic deterioration compared with the same period last year which saw revenues of MSEK 516. Passenger numbers dropped by 13%.
- The downturn in air traffic, both in the number of passengers as well as the number of take offs and landings, has had a negative influence on LFV´s finances during 2009, says LFV’s Director General Lars Rekke. The prognosis for the full year is a result of MSEK 100.
LFV´s turnover for the first nine months was MSEK 4,620, which is 3% lower than for the same period last year. Traffic revenue was MSEK 3,080 (3,125) while commercial and other revenues amounted to MSEK 1,540 (1,634).
The number of passengers during January-September was 20.3 million. This is 13% less compared with last year. The number of landings was down by 11%.
Stockholm-Arlanda Airport is the first airport to have been accredited the highest level in a European programme which grades the environmental impact of airports. ACI, which is an association of 440 airports in Europe, is responsible for the programme. The number of green approaches to Stockholm-Arlanda Airport, Göteborg Landvetter Airport, Malmö Airport and Umeå City Airport was between 50 and 60% during the third quarter or 2009.
The Swedish government has proposed that LFV shall be divided and the airports made into a limited liability company. The intention is for the new company to start operating 1 April 2010.
