Continued slow recovery

During January 2010 the total number of passengers at LFV Airports was 1.9 million which is a small increase compared with the same month last year. International numbers increased by one percent to 1.1 million passengers whilst domestic remained the same as last year at 0.8 million.

– Recovery began with domestic flights showing an increase in November last years. International traffic in January has increased for the first time in almost 18 months, says Lennart Bergbom, Analyst at LFV Airport Marketing.

The biggest increases in absolute numbers among LFV Airports, were recorded at Stockholm-Bromma and Göteborg Landvetter Airports with five and two percent respectively. Stockholm –Arlanda recorded a drop of one percent in passenger numbers.

- The long-term trend with a stronger demand for flights to destinations outside Europe continues. In January the number of intercontinental passengers increased by four percent, Lennart Bergbom continues.

The number of scheduled and charter landings was down six percent in January compared to the same month last year. International by five and domestic by seven percent respectively.
